Charles Mugane is a Partner of the Firm, and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2018. Mugane’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Africa Nazarene University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is also trained by the Mediation Training Institute (MTI) as a Professional Mediator.

Charles serves as a member of the Public Interest Litigation of the Law Society of Kenya.

Mugane’s notable areas of engagement include:

• Advising and successfully representing a leading international company based in Uganda in a dispute related to unfair tax demands by the Kenya Revenue Authority;
• Successfully representing a client in a defamation case by a leading media company in Kenya;
• Successfully representing petitioners in public interest capacity against several constitutional breaches by the government of Kenya including Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney General;
• Successfully prosecuting a land dispute in Kajiado Environment and Land Court in relation to a high worth property belonging to a leading Real Estates company in Kenya;
• Representing the Law Society of Kenya in a constitutional petition against the Governor and the County Government of Kiambu regarding unconstitutional pronouncements affecting the public at large;
• Successfully defending several suits by employees against international companies at the Mombasa and Milimani Employment and Labour Relations Courts respectively.
